Cook Inlet, Alaska
Alaska's Kenai Pennisula is known worldwide for its huge salmon. Before making their freshwater migration up the Kenai River these big fish swim through Cook Inlet. My buddy Dan Kearn and I spent a couple days with "Spinner Dave" Kaffke and his son Weston fishing these prime waters. The day begins with a launch off the beach and then trolling along the shoreline often within 20 - 30 feet of the shore. The fishing was great with multiple 40-pounders caught on light tackle and Dave's custom spinners. Check out "Spinner Dave's" at http://www.spinnerdave.com
